The Canon EOS Rebel T6i (sold as the EOS 750D outside North America, and the EOS Kiss X8i in Japan) was announced on February 6, 2015, alongside its higher-featured sibling, the EOS Rebel T6s (760D). It replaced the Rebel T5i (700D) as Canon’s mid-tier entry DSLR and was itself succeeded by the Rebel T7i (800D) in February 2017. Autofocus System
Through the optical viewfinder, the T6i uses a 19-point autofocus module in which all 19 points are cross-type — a notable upgrade over prior entry Rebels. In Live View and video, the camera switches to Canon’s Hybrid CMOS AF III system, which combines on-sensor phase-detection with contrast-detection AF. Shooting Performance
The T6i shoots continuously at up to 5 fps. Shutter speed ranges from 1/4000 to 30 seconds plus Bulb, with a flash sync speed of 1/200s, using a mechanical shutter (no electronic shutter option). It takes a single SD/SDHC/SDXC (UHS-I) card.
